Aku suka banget makan waffle.

Makananku menurutku enak, tapi biasa aja.

So far, menurutku Wawa Land ini lumayan oke buat kamu yang mau hang out di Sanxia, New Taipei City. Nggak terlalu istimewa, tapi cukup nyaman buat nongkrong bersama teman.

Selamat makan!

In time of trouble

“In time of trouble say:
First—God brought me here. It is by His will I am in this strait place. In that I will rest.
Next—He will keep me in His love and give me grace in this trial to behave as His child.
Then—He will make the trial a blessing, teaching me lessons He intends me to learn, and working in me the grace He means to bestow.
Last—In His good time He can bring me out again—how and when He knows.
I am here—by God’s appointment, in His keeping, under His training, for His time.”
We want the instant solution, the quick fix, but some things cannot be disposed of so readily; they can only be accepted. God will keep us by His love. By His grace, we can rest in Him.

Four ways to look

Look up and pray. Asaph prayed all night long and even expressed feelings that God had forgotten and rejected him (Ps. 77:9-10). We can tell God everything and be honest about our feelings. We can ask Him anything. His answer may not come right away or in the form we want or expect, but He won’t criticize us for asking.
Look back and remember what God has done in the past for you and others. Asaph didn’t talk to God only about the pain; he also recalled God’s power and mighty works for him and God’s people. He wrote, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago” (v. 11).
Look forward. Think about the good that might come out of the situation. What might you learn? What might God want to do? What do you know He will do because His ways are perfect? (v.13).
Look again. This time look at your circumstances with eyes of faith. Remind yourself that He is the God of great wonders and can be trusted (v. 14).

Self care

Though it may seem paradoxical for the Christian, self-care is essential for a healthy life (Matt. 22:37-39; Eph. 5:29-30). Yes, we must love God first and love others as well, but we also need to get adequate rest to renew our body and spirit. Sometimes self-care means stepping away and graciously allowing others to help us with our burdens.
Jesus often slipped away to rest and pray (Mark 6:30-32). When we follow His example, we will be more effective in our relationships and better able to give care to others.

Xinzhuang Old Street

Take an hour of your time to travel back in time. Xinzhuang old street, located in New Taipei City will send you there right away.

How to get there:
1. Take MRT to Xinzhuang and take exit 2, and then turn right.
2. Walk straight and you are going to see a police station.
3. Turn left and cross the street.

Guangfu temple is a Hakka Temple. It is popularly called King of Sanshan Temple, the main hall is dedicated for the King of Sanshan and the rear temple is dedicated for King Sanshan`s wife.

Upon entering the temple, you will find this wood blocking the way. It is meant to be that way, the higher it is, the more powerful the God inside. A professor in Tainan told me that the wood blocking the way represents how our world differ with the God`s. We got to make some effort to reach them.

Fish in the sky: A story in Chihkan Tower

Shooting up to the sky.

Amin.
Selamat tahun baru, ya!
